TERCERA - 3rd Anniversary celebration of Leo Club of UOC ALumni
Tercera - The 3rd-anniversary celebration of the UOC Alumni Leo Club is a celebration organized to share the joy of a successful 3-year journey with others. The success of a club is the result of the combined efforts of everyone in the community. Sharing the opportunities we have spent together, sharing the opportunities we experience with planning the future of our club with being grateful to all the people who have been with us during this 3-year journey were the main objectives of this project.
TERCERA
The 3rd-anniversary celebration of Leo Club Of UOC Alumni was on the 07th of December which Reminiscing the day of 2017.12.07
The charter president of the club was Leo Nuwan Kaluarachchi took the great opportunity to open a new Leo Club and to provide social services to the society by gathering youth all around Universities in Sri Lanka. The club opened on December 7, 2017, with his presidency and on this occasion, we celebrate 3 years of rising in the club.
Leo Madushi Kaushalya is now the 4th President of the Club and so far 3 Chairpersons have successfully run this club into this level today. Past Club presidents are as follows.
Immediate past Club president – Leo Sachinie Rajapaksha
Past Club president – Leo Dashith Nadeeshan
Charter president – Leo Nuwan Kaluarachchi
With remembering these events, the event was planned to be held on 07th of December 2020 via the google meet online platform. The organizing committee, the executive board of the Leo Club of Uoc Alumni organized the event.
Event Details
The chairperson of the event Leo Madushi Kaushalya called the meeting to order at 7.05 pm with the national anthem followed by Leo Pledge and Leo Pledge of Allegiance. Then the invitees of the event were introduced to the gathering by the club president Leo Madushi Kaushalya with Leo Ovin Rahul.

•Guest of Honour, Lion George Felix Thomas, President, Lions Club of Galkissa, sponsoring Lions Club also ( Our past Club advisor)
• Special Guests: Immediate Past President, Lions Club of Galkissa, Lion Lion Gayathri Hewawithana
• Special Guest Leo advisor, Lion Deshan Hewawithana, LEO Advisor of LEO Club of UOC Alumni
• Special Guests: Our Past Leo Advisor, Lion N.Janarthanan, District Cabinet Treasurer, Lions Club International-Leo District 306A1
• Special Guests: Our Past president, Leo Dasith Nadeeshan
• Special Guests: Our Immediate Past President, Leo Sachinie Rajapakshe
• Past EXco Members
And other Club presidents, council officers were also invited to the event.
Following Leo Thilini Rajapaksa's welcome speech, the most significant event of the launch of the Club YouTube channel took place. The YouTube channel was launched to coincide with the anniversary celebrations.
Following the secretary report by the club secretary Leo Thashmi Nirmanika, the past Leos were recognized by Leo Lawan Wijayasuriya.
It was followed by the speech of Leo Sachini Rajapaksa, Immediate past President of the club. After her speech, a throwback video followed by an Entertainment item by Leo Rishnee Wijayasuriya happened.
Leo Madushi Kaushalya then addressed the gathering by remembering the value of the event. Following the introduction by Leo Dulmina Amarakoon, Lion Felix Thomas then addressed the occasion.
Leo Malinda Ganewatta, the Chief Guest of the event next Addressed the gathering and he was introduced to the gathering by Leo Milinda Manamperi.
After a successful time together, the event ended with felicitations by the participants and closing remarks by Lion Deshan Hewawithana, club advisor of Leo Club of UOC Alumni.
